When I saw this man playing the flute surrounded by cats, the first thing that came to mind was the story of the Rattenfänger von Hameln (Rat-Catcher of Hamelin).
There are plenty of stray cats everywhere and people put out food for them like at this spot near the Acropolis. I walked this path several times by now and there are always a fair amount of cats gathered around.
Great post 😁

this is very very good Mel, is the cat in its own pee? or a bag? i love the way you had the bag there hanging, i felt as if i was right there with the cats. i love it. great job!

Thank you! ❤ Nope, it was a plastic bag. I think I got a bit lazy in the end with the colouring.

“Rattenfanger” is quite a word! In English, he is known as the Pied Piper of Hamelin.

I remember sitting on my floor playing my flute several years ago and my cat came running up and jumped on me. Every time I would hit a particular group of notes, she would come running from wherever she was in the house.., it is a real thing!

I see! 🙂
In this case all the cat food scathered in the area helped I guess too. I did not make it obvious in the drawing though.

I wonder if the cats actually enjoyed the music?

Hmm good question. I actually don´t really remember what he played. My guess would be that they were mainly there for the cat food that was scattered around. 🙂

Le joueur de flûte de Hamelin?
From Mexican dogs to Greek cats?
(Cats are not very much liked in Mexico, don’t know why)
Buen fin de semana.
