I think it was my second day in Malinalco back in April, when we stopped at the shoemaker right next to the market. My friend needed to get one of his shoe soles fixed. It was this small room with 3 guys working behind the counter, shelves full of old shoes, and an old TV showing Dragonball Z.
How awesome to be able to have a place where you can get your shoes fixed, instead of having to buy new ones every time your soles come apart!

You don´t have shoe makers over there? I have my old go to guy here in town. Love his tiny shop. Everything smells like leather. I have a pair of winter boots that I got fixed so many times and they are still perfect after 10 years. 🙂

I’m sure there are shoe makers in some remote corner of the US, but for the most part we don’t have any. We sort of just throw shoes away when they break and buy new ones; it’s a terrible waste of money and resources.
