Hello, who are you? III

This was the mood yesterday when I was drawing. Part III of this little story. Here are part I and II.

I tried to stick to the previous style as close as possible. But there is a year in between the first 2 and this drawing. I feel like my style has become way more fluent, or something like it? What do you think?

Take Your Pet to School Day III

Last but not least, another classroom scene.

I was just thinking, would it be a interesting to do a children´s book with these images? A book with no words, but plenty to discover for kids? Let me know what you think.

And what kind of pet could be missing from the terrarium?

Have a great weekend!

Another classroom another scene.

What kind of pets did you have when you grew up?

Take Your Pet to School Day I

This was my first attempt at a full scene in watercolour and ink, where I put the characters of the previous posts into action.

I am very happy how it turned out. Any comments and criticisms are welcome 🙂

Did you ever take your pet to school?

Lunch Buffet

Summer was so busy with work and other things, that I have been neglecting the blog and my art for the last couple of months!
This definitely needs to change! First step was taken last weekend when I finally managed to clean up my drawing desk. I now have no excuses not to start drawing next weekend.
I am also planning to do Inktober again, so I will hopefully start positing some warm-up sketches next week, just to get back into a drawing routine.

Meanwhile I started colouring in scenes from my own capybara drawing book.

Pool Party

I wish I was somewhere with warmer climate right now. I think this is by far my favourite scene from the Capybara and Friends Colouring Book. What do you think?

It’s also the illustration I did last for it.

Own Your Style

Another capybara image. I do like to dress up every once in a while. Have fun with your clothes and own your style.

Art vs. Artist

There was this art vs artist posts on Instagram and I am late to the party but this was the image I put together.

It has been a though year with many downs put I have certainly learned a lot illustration wise. I still feel like I have a long way to go until I get to where I want my illustrations to be, but hey, it’s a journey.

Curious to see how my style and skills will further develop throughout the year.

What are you looking forward to?

Feasting Time

Did you have a lavish Christmas feast? We for sure did! Still digesting it.

Christmas is the time of the year where you eat way too much food, while in the good company of friends. At least that’s what it was and means for me.

This illustration is also part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Coloring Book.

African Wild Dogs II

I really like sketching these wild dogs. I am also experimenting with different outlines and pencils. So far I like the result. Only the paper quality was not the best. Will change that for the next drawing.

African Wild Dog

A friend gave me the book Solo the Story of an African Wild Dog by Hugo Van Lawick.

I knew nothing about wild dogs beforehand. Absolutely loved the story which is a description of a pack of wild dogs and in particular the story of Solo, one of the cubs.

I only learned that the story of Solo is somewhat famous after reading the book. I certainly had fun sketching this little dog.
