Still working on this page. After some feedback changed it from the previous one, to the one below. Definitely an improvement but not quite there yet. What do you think?

More doggies. I had so many ups and downs this past week. One day was great and I was all happy about my book progress and the next I felt like I cannot draw a single line and I should give up then and there. Quite a rollercoaster. And the progress is slow. I am seriously considering to start going digital after this. It will certainly be quicker. On the other hand, having ink stains on my hands is also fun….
But I ran out of paper and now I cannot find the same paper in the art supply shop anymore… bummer. Will do another shopping spree tomorrow to see what I can find. Until then, happy weekend!

I am still having fun coming up with new designs for my Etsy store. I have been adding some more cards since Valentine’s Day.
This is one is my favourite at the moment. What do you think? Perfect for your mate, friend, colleague.

I have been pretty much drawing dog after dog, exploring different poses and especially sleeping positions. Dogs can look too funny while sleeping.
I was stuck with my book dummy and some of the spot illustrations I wanted to add. So now I have a huge number of sketches from which I will pick my favourite ones.

For all the dog people out there, I have been drawing dogs all weekend. Well, actually the same dog over an over again. Character design for my new book! I will be giving you a sneak peak soon, so watch this space.
Meanwhile I am still enjoying these two. The sun came finally back to Reykjavik but so came the wind and it feels like – 24 degrees Celsius out there…

This was the mood yesterday when I was drawing. Part III of this little story. Here are part I and II.
I tried to stick to the previous style as close as possible. But there is a year in between the first 2 and this drawing. I feel like my style has become way more fluent, or something like it? What do you think?

Another story in 3 acts. Watercolour on cold press paper.
The other short story in 3 acts you can find here.

This was my first attempt at a full scene in watercolour and ink, where I put the characters of the previous posts into action.
I am very happy how it turned out. Any comments and criticisms are welcome 🙂
Did you ever take your pet to school?

Summer was so busy with work and other things, that I have been neglecting the blog and my art for the last couple of months!
This definitely needs to change! First step was taken last weekend when I finally managed to clean up my drawing desk. I now have no excuses not to start drawing next weekend.
I am also planning to do Inktober again, so I will hopefully start positing some warm-up sketches next week, just to get back into a drawing routine.
Meanwhile I started colouring in scenes from my own capybara drawing book.

What´s your take on fashion?
Another attempt to use those Chameleon markers and another scene from my Capybara and Friends – Colouring book .
