World Watercolor Month Wrap-Up

Finished later than planned but eventually did it. My 31 prompts for World Watercolour Month of 2019. In addition to following the prompt list I also tried to incorporate a traveller theme.

I had a lot of fun with this one. I feel that I got a lot faster at sketching, and proportions and people come easier to me now after a month (and a half) of almost consistent daily drawing. I will definitely keep going. Time to look for another challenge… Any suggestions?

Which one is your favourite?

I think mine are the pooping monkeys (#22) and me relaxing in the hammock (#16).

Task accomplished – and fun, too! Taking on a project like this really helps as it makes you do something – and you did an especially nice job. I’ve enjoyed them all.

Sometimes setting a goal is hard work, but the work always pays off. I really grew with the World Watercolor challenges. I have been totally engrossed with gouache that my watercolor is on the back burner – need to return to alternating mediums daily!

    1. ❤ Thank you! It feels like after a while it gets easier to come up with ideas. But it also really helps me to have a connecting theme like travel in this case to come up with something to draw.

  2. Wow! Wow! And re-wow! You’ve been busy. 🙂 I like most of them. Perhaps my favourite might the first (Girl in a hat, red dress and a suitcase) because of the mystery. Where is she going? The shadows on the wall. The lady coming out of the souvenir shop. You are almost telling a story with those paintings. Who would be your main character?

    1. Thank you! ❤ Still trying to catch up with everything. Actually had quite a lazy month were I tried to avoid my computer. The lady with the suitcase? hmm. Good question. Me going to the unkown perhaps? 😉
