A capybara – biggest rodent in the world – taking a swim. These impressive semi-aquatic mammals are found throughout much of northern and central South America.
I didn´t know they existed! Accidentally found them when googling rodents :p Now I am hooked. Maybe a new obsession after the pelicans? They are fun to draw. I am currently on my third one. So watch out 😉
Met one at the frontier of Peru and Colombia on the Amazon. The cutest thing. Loved being scratched under the chin.

They’re huge. And very nice. The one I met in Peru was called Brenda. I’ll post a photo sometime.
