We have Brown Pelicans here along the south central coast in California. At dawn and sunset, the Pelican Patrol flies in v-shaped formations as they move from the shore to wherever they want to roost.

That sounds amazing! I loved to watch the pelicans when I was at the Pacific coast in Guatemala. It looked like so much fun when they were surfing the waves.
