Another year is slowly coming to an end. I feel like I haven´t done much illustration wise, but going through my files it actually looks like I got more done than I thought I did.
I tried lots of new things – media and styles – started on my own book projects (more about that soon) and I am looking forward to see where this journey will take me next year!
How about you? Did you try anything new this year?

You are so talented. I love seeing what you come up with. For me, I tried acrylics for the first time this year. All nourishing the soul

Thank you so much! Acrylics are so much fun! I also painted with them this year, first time in years. I keep forgetting about that too although it stares me straight in the face every day. I did 3 murals in our hallway. Haven’t even posted pictures of them…
Happy New Year and to more creative explorations 🙂

When I think I haven’t done anything, I sit down and make a list of everything I can think of that I have done. I have to go back through my photos to remember some of the projects but the result always surprises me. Even when I’ve had to deal with illness or other obstacles, I still get things made. But I tend to focus on what I didn’t finish.

AH same here. I always focus on all the things I wanted to finish but didn´t and completely forget about all the things I actually accomplished. So So it’s actually nice to go through all the finished projects and sketchbooks at the end of the year.
Happy New Year!

Quite nice. Is that the turtle you were talking about? I can see a relation…

Yes it is. The turtle that causes havoc. One of her many nicknames is “agent of chaos” .. 😀

Agent of Chaos? hmmm. I remember when our first daughter was born and started to crawl… We had to move things up. Out of her way. Then she got up. Move things further up. Etc… 😀

We are at the point where we consider going full on minimalist. No point of empty book shelves standing around. That will be even bigger invite for our climbing monkey to get up. But yes, fun times and I am actually enjoying it a lot. 🙂

Minimalist is clearly a must with lovely climbing monkeys. Enjoy. That period is so incredibly rich…
