Pool Time II

Just putting out more pug illustrations from our Nobbi & Kobbi – Best Friends book.

Pugs are fun and silly looking sometimes. That’s at least my opinion.

If you and your kids like pugs, then this children’s book may be for you. My first attempt at illustrating a children’s story.

How flexible are you?

Another somewhat lazy quick sketch.

I think I am quite good with my flexibility but not anywhere near this lady with her monkey.

Don´t ask me what the monkey is doing there, he just happened to show up.

Pool Life

Kobbi the pug is waiting for summer. So am I.

I am certainly ready to go to the pool, if it just wasn´t so windy today…

More silly pug drawings you find in my first illustrated children’s story written by my Icelandic friend Norbert. The story is now also available in Icelandic for any language enthusiasts out there.

Be Like a Duck

Be like a duck. Remain calm on the surface and paddle like hell underneath.

– Michael Caine

I think I’ve finally developed quite a good routine with my daily drawing practice. This time without ink.

Morning Walk

The best thing about having a dog is, that you are forced to go out in any wind and weather. Sometimes it’s tough but almost always rewarding.

Hello there! What has this little one spotted?

Nobbi & Kobbi – Children´s Book

You can find my first illustrated children´s story of the two best friends now also in German on Amazon. The English version you find here.

Die Geschichte von Nobbi und Kobbi gibt es jetzt auch auf Deutsch auf Amazon zu kaufen.

In hindsight I would do many things differently when it comes to illustrating and editing the book. But then again, it was the first and there is a learning curve. 🙂 I definitely want to do more book illustrations and am busy practicing and learning new publishing and editing programs.

In fact, I just finished my second children’s book, a story about a little fly. I am very happy of how it turned out. More about it soon!

I have plenty of inspiration when it comes to drawings but I suck at making up stories. If anyone has a great story idea they would like to collaborate on, please drop me a line.

In the meantime check out the silly story of Nobbi & Kobbi.

Time to freshen up

After roughly 10 years I thought it is also about time to change the header image of my website. Played around with different versions, this is what I settled on for now.

Any comments and feedback are more than welcome.

Egg Painting Time

Mr Fox and Mr Mouse got together to paint some more Easter eggs. Who else has been painting eggs this year?

If you are too lazy like me to paint eggs how about making your own Mr Fox Easter print instead?

You can also get this image as high resolution file to print with different background on my Ko-fi page.

Happy Easter.

Easter Fox

Easter weekend is coming up. I haven´t been painting Easter eggs in years. But I got inspired to draw Mr Fox painting eggs.

Are you still looking for Easter cards or wrapping paper or a little present? I put the image of little Mr Fox on Ko-fi as a high resolution image with different background colors for you to download, so you can print your own cards for friends or family.

Have a happy Easter weekend! I for my part will be out hiking in the sun.

Happy St Patrick’s Day

Wanted to do something cheerful for today. Maybe even grab a Guinness later. Some of you might remember Mr Fox. He dressed up accordingly.

If you are a fan of Mr Fox, then I just added a new illustration to my shop at Society 6.

Spot-billed Pelican

Last but not least the Spot-billed pelicans who got his name because of the spots on his bill….

There are 8 living different pelican species today. This pelican can be found in southern Asia from southern Pakistan across India east to Indonesia. It is a bird of large inland and coastal waters, especially large lakes.

Great White Pelican

The Great White pelican lives in the shallow swamps in Africa and is one of the largest flying birds in the world.

This pelican’s yellow gular pouch has capacity for 13 liters of water or up to 4 kg of fish.
