Art vs. Artist

There was this art vs artist posts on Instagram and I am late to the party but this was the image I put together.

It has been a though year with many downs put I have certainly learned a lot illustration wise. I still feel like I have a long way to go until I get to where I want my illustrations to be, but hey, it’s a journey.

Curious to see how my style and skills will further develop throughout the year.

What are you looking forward to?

Capybaras are Excellent Swimmers

Capybaras have webbed feet and it makes them excellent swimmers.

They can dive and hold their breath for five minutes at a time, and their ears fold back when they are underwater so they never have to worry about water getting stuck in their ears.

This diving capybara is also part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Colouring Book.

Sleeping Time

The mood right after the holidays – after eating way too much and too much socializing, but it was totally worth it.

Feasting Time

Did you have a lavish Christmas feast? We for sure did! Still digesting it.

Christmas is the time of the year where you eat way too much food, while in the good company of friends. At least that’s what it was and means for me.

This illustration is also part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Coloring Book.

Capybara Madness

My latest Capybara Colouring book is online!

If you are looking for a last minute Christmas present, you can get it here.

A colouring book for young and old with 15 unique and fun drawings, featuring capybaras and their friends.

Throughout the book you will also learn more about these adorable rodents, as each image is accompanied by fun facts.

Colour them in and bring them to life!
The drawings are one sided full page images in order to avoid bleed through of other images. Take out the page after you are done and frame the image. I would love to see your finished pages!

Capybaras everywhere

I seems like I will be able two more of my open projects just in time for Christmas!

# 1 is a short story about Mr Fox. I am just in the last review stage.

# 2 is another Capybara colouring book! Yes! I am still in love with these poker face rodents and have so much fun drawing them. That’s why I put together another colouring book (as I am still working on my writing skills) with 15 brand new drawings! The drawings are of course again accompanied by old and new fun facts about capybaras. (Here is the first book if you haven’t heard about it yet.)

So if you are still missing a last minute Christmas present or cannot get enough of Capybaras (just like me), then this may be for you.

Here is a sneak peek. It will be available online by the end of the week.

Inktober Day 14 – Tick

Getting up and doing things can sometimes be so hard. Especially if time is ticking.

Perfect picture for a Monday I would say.

Balloon Party

Capybaras are the life of the party…. or so they say.

The black and white version below is also part of my Capybara Colouring Book.

I would love to see your version of it!

Capybara teeth never stop growing

Like with other rodents, capybaras’ front teeth never stop growing. Their incisors are strong and chisel-like, making them highly effective at cutting through grass.
In order to keep their teeth to a reasonable length, they get worn down from all the eating they do.

This little capybara and many other fun facts you find in my colouring book.

Capybaras Love an All-You-Can-Eat Salad Bar

Have been eating heaps during the weekend. Time to get active again.

Capybaras are vegetarians and they eat lots of greens, sometimes more than 3-4
kilograms a day! They feed on grasses and aquatic plants, but also fruit and bark can be on the
menu.

This little chef and more fun facts you can find in my Capybara Colouring Book.

Have a beautiful Monday!

Hiding From the Rain

Pouring rain today and I am hiding under the blanket. This capybara was not so lucky but was caught by the downpour while camping.

This capybara is also part of my capybara colouring book which you can find here.

Have a great weekend!

Everything is better when in good company

At least that is my opinion. I prefer to share a good meal with friends rather than eating on my own.

Capybaras are very social creatures. They like to be surrounded by friends and family.

More fun facts and drawings you can find in my capybara colouring book.

Time to freshen up

After roughly 10 years I thought it is also about time to change the header image of my website. Played around with different versions, this is what I settled on for now.

Any comments and feedback are more than welcome.
