Let’s see if I will make a fortune with this magic bean!?
Ink on mixed media paper.

It has been a while since I have been active here. Time to get back to drawing.
I was somewhat in a creative low and this was my first attempt of the year to get started again. Did this for a draw this in your style challenge by Poopikat #poopidtiys2023
I am really happy how it turned out and it was also the perfect opportunity to try out my new scanner!

Welcome to day 22 of my Inktober story. Missed the beginning? Here is where it starts.
Grog froze when he saw the dog standing at the door. Should he fight him and then try to make a run? The dog was slightly bigger than him. Grog was calculating his chances.
“Get out of the way!” Sasha yells at Grog from behind. In a swift movement, Sasha snatches the magician´s wand out of his hand and points it at the dog.
“Abracadabra!” she yells at the top of her lungs.

Welcome to day 19 of my Inktober story. Missed the beginning? Here is where it starts.
“Alright, alright! You are clearly not impressed with the result!” the magician laughs while looking at Grog.
“Let me try again! My magic wand should do the trick!”

Welcome to day 17 of my Inktober story. Missed the beginning? Here is where it starts.
Once Grog is on stage the magician asks “So what would you like to see?”
“Can you give me a second wing?” Grog asks.
“Haha! Nothing easier than that!” the magician answers. “All I need is my magic salt!”

Welcome to day 13 of my Inktober story. Missed the beginning? Here is where it starts.
After wandering around aimlessly for a while though the dark streets, Grog and Sasha spot a light in one of the shops. As they get closer, a welcome surprise awaits them.

Tried something completely different as well for the raven prompt. Although I don’t feel like drawing this character is really me. I really prefer drawing animals and I feel like I haven’t found my style yet when it comes to drawing people appropriate for children’s books. I will keep on practicing though.
I am still on track with my Inktober drawings, I just haven’t managed to take photos and upload them yet. They will follow shortly.
Who else is doing Inktober here?

I bought some red ink as I wanted to try out something different. This is what the first experiment looks like.
The ink doesn´t cover as well as I would have expected. Lets see what I will use it for.

Happy New Year everyone!
Let´s see what the next year will bring. Thank you for all your support throughout the year.

Some more window shopping travel sketches from my new sketchbook.
Souvenir shop window in the old town of Edinburgh.

A cake shop display near Haymarket. Damn, I want that cake!

Will he catch him or will he not?

Went to revisit the little fox from day 2 of Inktober. He inspected the mushrooms too closely it seems.

I couldn´t really think of anything for this prompt, so I made the little fox cross a creek on his adventure to… the unknown.

The only legend I could think of was that of a unicorn. Also there is the saying, that if you can be a unicorn, be a unicorn.
Happy Monday!

I wanted to draw another dragon. This one went to take a nap in the forest. After a long slumber he woke up only to discover that he was surrounded by forest flora and fauna.

Almost like a phoenix rising out of the ashes…

Little fox in wonderland.
