I kind of liked the art vs artist set up and I thought it would be nice to reflect on some of my other drawings that I did throughout 2021.
So here is another one. People and animals in ink and watercolour from last spring.

There was this art vs artist posts on Instagram and I am late to the party but this was the image I put together.
It has been a though year with many downs put I have certainly learned a lot illustration wise. I still feel like I have a long way to go until I get to where I want my illustrations to be, but hey, it’s a journey.
Curious to see how my style and skills will further develop throughout the year.
What are you looking forward to?

I have been taking several illustrator courses in the last weeks. One of them about character design. So for a change I have been focusing on more human characters instead of animal ones. And eventually I settled on a character design I liked. Any feedback is more than welcome.
I still wanted to draw animals, so I picked the topic, take your pet to school day.

A friend gave me the book Solo the Story of an African Wild Dog by Hugo Van Lawick.
I knew nothing about wild dogs beforehand. Absolutely loved the story which is a description of a pack of wild dogs and in particular the story of Solo, one of the cubs.
I only learned that the story of Solo is somewhat famous after reading the book. I certainly had fun sketching this little dog.

Monday once again. Random post update. Time to activate your inner honey badger.
This guy is also part of the Honey Badger Collection on Society 6.

Inktober is finished. The last days passed by way to quickly and I am again 3 drawings short as I think every year. Halloween parties always come in the way…. Also I was working obsessively on another illustration project during the weekend. You will get a glimpse of it soon.
Anyway, I will do the 3 remaining prompts maybe later today. Meanwhile lets start the week with some cake!
