Catching up with Inktober 2023
It´s been a while, but I am still here! I have been doing Inktober diligently every year since 2017 and I was excited about this one. However life happened and I didn´t find time until now to get started.
Seems my Inktober 2023 will be quick doodles and turtle themed and a way to test out my brand new coloured inks!
The Weather Today VIII
Summer has arrived here at last.
Also the earthquakes are still going strong. If that volcano errupts again this year I will definitely hike there this time. I missed out on the last two eruptions.
Meanwhile we’ll be at the beach. And another page of my new picture book.

I got bored so I started colouring in my capybara drawings!

Continuation of the drawing practice I did in November.
Tried to use coloured pencil instead of ink for the outline. I kind of like both. The clear lines of the ink but also this slightly softer look of the pencil.

I wish I was somewhere with warmer climate right now. I think this is by far my favourite scene from the Capybara and Friends Colouring Book. What do you think?

Art vs. Artist
There was this art vs artist posts on Instagram and I am late to the party but this was the image I put together.
It has been a though year with many downs put I have certainly learned a lot illustration wise. I still feel like I have a long way to go until I get to where I want my illustrations to be, but hey, it’s a journey.
Curious to see how my style and skills will further develop throughout the year.
