Inktober 2025 Wrap up

Inktober! I made it! After missing out on it last year, it was great to have done it again. I got a bit delayed there in the and due to travel preparations, but hey, the journey is the goal.

So what did I learn? Don’t worry so much about the outcome and let loose and have fun with it. I also got a lot faster in sketching maybe 10 min, inking 10-20 min. All in all, great practice as always. Now I am ready to tackle more of my other projects. How about you? What are you working on?

Have a wonderful day!

Inktober Day 28 – Skeletal

A week late to the party. Anyway, darkness is upon us. The days are getting shorter by a few minutes each week.

Inktober Day 23 – Firefly

Somehow this prompt idea came quickly. Let me be your light. The days are getting shorter pretty quickly here.

What’s next?

I have been in a drawing mood lately and thought it is about time to add some new prints to my Etsy shop.

But what should I add?

Let me know in the poll below.

Here is a best off (at least my favourites) of Inktober so far. There are a few more to come.

Inktober Day 15 – Ragged – Edited

Cute puppy, right?’

Now as an double edited version. Went on a 2 hour drawing spree late last night and added some details to some of the previous drawings. I also managed to catch up with all the prompts!

And the first draft. I got rather quick in sketching. I’d say 10 min or so. The inking I actually don’t know how long it takes me. Should maybe time it. But definitely longer.

Inktober Day 11 – Sting – Updated

Work in progress

And the finished illustration.

Updated version below. Felt like it was missing something.

Day 9 – 100 Animals

As mentioned previously, I gave in to my need to draw cute dogs… Do you have a favourite animal?

Happy weekend!

Day 8 – 100 Animals

Half way through…and first storm of the season! Winter has officially arrived. Perfect time to stay in an be creative. It’s the first time that I am having fun with a sketchbook and trying out different things. Are you keeping a sketch book?

Day 7 – 100 Animals

Alight more dogs, but I am trying to mix it up again with. Sausage dogs are the weirdest creatures. And it’s been a long time since I drew a capybara. Here is the whole collection, in case you missed them. You can also find the odd Capybara in my Etsy shop.

I love ink. And yes it can get messy…

Day 6 – 100 Animal

I am still a dog person. I just love drawing dogs.

Adding some colour to the black and white… good to dust off those watercolours as well.

What is your favourite medium?

Fun with Dogs

Have been messing around with the finished dog drawings to turn them into posters for my Etsy shop…. One idea was to dress them up… or to put funny hats on them… For now I only have them as curious animal prints.

What do you think?

Book Project – Work in Progress II

Another page almost finished for my upcoming children’s book. It will be total 32 pages and I think almost finished are about half of them. So expect more progress shots coming up.

The biggest part eventually will be the scanning and editing of the images. But that is for next month. Goal for this is to finish most of the drawings.

Have a great weekend!

Curling up

Super windy today. So this drawing fits the mood perfectly. Madame Woof Woof also feels like curling up.

Drawing for my upcoming children’s book titled Madame Woof Woof.

Work in progress II

Still working on this page. After some feedback changed it from the previous one, to the one below. Definitely an improvement but not quite there yet. What do you think?

Practice makes perfect

More doggies. I had so many ups and downs this past week. One day was great and I was all happy about my book progress and the next I felt like I cannot draw a single line and I should give up then and there. Quite a rollercoaster. And the progress is slow. I am seriously considering to start going digital after this. It will certainly be quicker. On the other hand, having ink stains on my hands is also fun….

But I ran out of paper and now I cannot find the same paper in the art supply shop anymore… bummer. Will do another shopping spree tomorrow to see what I can find. Until then, happy weekend!
