Dogs of Athens

After the last couple of cat illustrations I had to do some dogs in between. This is at a small square in Kypseli, Athens. A lot of people come here with their dogs in all sizes. I enjoy watching them. You also see street dogs around Athens, but they are mainly scattered around the centre.

I actually really pity those big hairy fluff-balls. Currently 35 degrees Celsius and I feel like melting. Don´t want to imagine what they are going through with all their fur.

Actually, some of the fluffy dogs are pretty cool from what I have read – the insulation that keeps them warm in winter keeps them cool in summer. Shaving them would make them more uncomfortable.
