Upcoming Exhibition Nov 2014 – Jan 2015

YES! Another exhibition is coming up. This time again in the southern part of Germany, Bad Buchau to be precise. A town not far from my hometown Ravensburg that I grew up in.

The exhibition is titled “Menschen” (meaning “people” in English). It is a mix of paintings I did between 2007 – 2014. The works have been inspired by people that I meet during my travels – friends, acquaintances, random meet ups that influence you in one way or another, big or small. The exhibition is dedicated to those people.

Fundstück: Pressetext der Federseeklinik zu meiner Ausstellung.

Exhibition in Reykjavík

Yes, all the works I’ve been painting in June like a mad woman I just put up at this small gallery space in downtown Reykjavik.

The exhibition is titled “What animal are you?”

So if you are around and feel like dropping by you are more than welcome.

The paintings will be on display at Kingdom Withing Tattoo Studio and Gallery, Skólavörðustígur 24, 101 Reykjavík  from September 1st to September 23.

Opening times are Mo – Fr, 10 – 5pm.

See you there!

Mole the World II

Forgot to post this one. The second mole for Mole the World Project, which you can find also in their gallery. Plus many more moles. You can also send them your own moles ^^

Mole the world

I’ve been busy painting the last couple of weeks and I managed to finish 12 paintings in somewhat record time before heading south for the summer.

Two of the works are dedicated to the in my opinion brilliant Mole the World Art Project.

So here my contribution to mole Reykjavik.

More work in progress…

I’ve been busy painting like crazy the last few weeks. So far there are 8 new paintings, but only 4 of them finished and still a few to go before I take off for the summer.

There’ll be an exhibition opening on September 1st in Reykjavík with hopefully all of my finished paintings ^^ Below is one of the works (that I finished in the meantime) in progress…

What do you think?

Back in the paper

Headline says it all. Another article has been published about me and the exhibition in Bad Saulgau, Germany, which is still continuing until 30th of September. Pity I wont get to see it though, as I am still in Iceland enjoying the icy wind and fabulous sunshine ^^

Frontpage

A picture of me was to be found on the front page of a German local paper followed by a brief article about me, my paintings, my travels, and ongoing exhibition on page 2!

Apparently they are going to bring another similar article next week. I’ll keep you posted about that. Meanwhile have a look at this one ^^

Exhibition 2

Me and my ongoing exhibition have been in the local newspaper last week. Apparently an interview will follow soon!

Go and visit it if you happen to be in the area -> 88348 Bad Saulgau, Germany

Humboldt

I took part in the Dawanda Design competition and my wallpaper was among those to be picked and soon to be put up on the wall in one of the rooms at the Meininger Hotel on Berlin!

The place of the hotel is the location of the former house of Alexander von Humboldt, a German naturalist and explorer. The Meininger Hotel is inspired by Humboldt with each of the rooms and wallpapers relating to a quotation by him. The one I picked was:
__________
Ich glaube meinerseits, dass man noch größeren Entdeckungen dann immer sehr nahe ist, wenn die Tatsachen in einen scheinbaren Widerstreit treten.
An Julius Schmidt, Berlin, 30. März 1850

All designs to be found on Dawanda.Mine is the one by Lumikukka or you find it in the gallery for Artworks 2011 ^^

Opening of the Hotel will be on June 19th, 2011with a Dawanda Design market from 10 – 6 p.m.

Address: Meininger Hotel, Oranienburger Str. 67/68 in Berlin Mitte

Go and have a look if you are in town. Pity I won’t  be able to make it coz I’m still in Iceland ^^
