Experimenting with putting character sheets together…
What kind of pet did you have as a kid?
I still think that dogs make the best pets.

I made a last one of these Art vs Artists collages. Also more for me as I enjoyed taking a look at my work from last year.
Below are my first proper attempts of watercolour illustrations. I still feel like I have a long way to go. But practice makes you maybe not perfect, but better bit by bit.
Happy weekend!

Just like life, a lot is going on below and above sea level.
This is another seen from my latest Capybaras and Friends Colouring Book.
Happy Monday!

Another capybara image. I do like to dress up every once in a while. Have fun with your clothes and own your style.
This catwalk crew is part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Colouring Book.

Part 3 of this spontaneous watercolour illustration story. Here are part 1 and 2.
Not sure where this ostrich is going, but lets say he was depressed because he really wanted to fly and realized that he couldn’t. So when the girl came along and saw him she had an idea, helping him and his wish to fly….

Had this idea for a drawing after reading the book The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro. Thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was the second book I read by Ishiguro, the first one was The Remains of the Days which was also excellent.
Also I finally tested my new watercolour paper. So consider this a practice piece.

Once I got into doing these image collections, I couldn’t stop. So here is another retrospect of drawings of last year. I had pretty much forgotten about the honey badger series I did!
They are also still available in my Society 6 shop in case you are looking or an original present.
And the fox drawings are part of my Mr Fox Colouring Book.

There was this art vs artist posts on Instagram and I am late to the party but this was the image I put together.
It has been a though year with many downs put I have certainly learned a lot illustration wise. I still feel like I have a long way to go until I get to where I want my illustrations to be, but hey, it’s a journey.
Curious to see how my style and skills will further develop throughout the year.
What are you looking forward to?

Full blown snow storm raging outside. So its nice to be inside all warm and cozy, dreaming of imaginary worlds.
This nature capybara is also part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Colouring Book.

Capybaras have webbed feet and it makes them excellent swimmers.
They can dive and hold their breath for five minutes at a time, and their ears fold back when they are underwater so they never have to worry about water getting stuck in their ears.
This diving capybara is also part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Colouring Book.

Fishing for turtles?…..
This silly Mr Fox is also part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Colouring Book.

After the holidays, maybe it is time for a scrub.
This wash room team is also part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Colouring Book.
I would love to see your coloured in version.
