OneWeek100People 2024 – Getting to 100
I totally forgot about One Week 100 People this year! I had so much fun doing this challenge last year and I actually was looking forward to it again but completely forgot to check the dates. So it apparently started Monday the 11th and runs until Friday. I started to play catch up last night and just went to my Pinterest board from the previous year as there are about 300 people pins that I never got to.
Drawing feels much easier than in the previous year, although I think I haven´t sketched any people since then. Anyhow, great practice and warm up for other drawings. I will try to make it to 100 until the end of the week. Currently I am at #37.

Inktober 2023 Roundup
Despite having been late to the party, I really enjoyed the Inktober challenge as every year and I am really happy with the outcome. Just like in the previous years, I was not sure where the journey would take me. And as every year I am happy about what I learned and the results.
I got so much positive feedback about the little turtle and spider, that I am considering of putting an actual children´s book together with these two characters. So watch this space.

Catching up with Inktober 2023
It´s been a while, but I am still here! I have been doing Inktober diligently every year since 2017 and I was excited about this one. However life happened and I didn´t find time until now to get started.
Seems my Inktober 2023 will be quick doodles and turtle themed and a way to test out my brand new coloured inks!
One Week 100 People
It took me much longer than a week, due to the flu, but I eventually finished them all. I also was colouring some of them in and still want to colour in the rest. I really struggled in the end to get to 100 but I can also see a definite improvement from the first page. I haven’t been drawing people for a while, so this was a great exercise.
Next I think I will do 100 animals 🙂

Here come number 10 to 14. Combination of watercolour, coloured pencils and for number 12-14 I used olive green ink for the outline that I bought some time ago but never used.

It´s time again for this fun annual art challenge – One week 100 people. And it´s exactly that, you got one week to draw 100 people in any way you like.
I am using the opportunity to challenge myself to do some quick character sketches by using pinterest as inspiration. So far I´ve been having fun with it. Are you taking part in the challenge?

Had to play catch up as a was a bit behind schedule on day 3. Have to say that it still takes me way too long with drawing these.

Realized this morning that #OneWeek100People is on again. Last year I missed it as I was on holiday. So spontaneously decided to sit down and give it a go. Oh boy am I rusty in drawing people. I would be much faster in drawing 1000 capybaras I guess.
