Beavers are fun to draw. The other one is a ferret, I think?

I really love how the chimpanzee turned out. He is my favourite so far! What do you think?
I had him on my pinterest board for a long time. I remember trying to draw him a year? / few years ago and it turned out all awkward and wrong. I need to see if I find the old sketch somewhere.
Anyway, good start for the day. Happy sunny weekend ahead!
And if you are still looking for some funny wall decor, check out my Etsy shop.

From this, to this.

Checking if I can still draw… After all good intentions of sketching daily, I did not open my sketchbook once during the last 6 weeks of travel…
Now back home, I got my desk cleaned up, spent another 30min looking for my pencil case, and eventually started out with a number of 5 min animal sketches. This one was 25 min from start to finish.

This was the mood yesterday when I was drawing. Part III of this little story. Here are part I and II.
I tried to stick to the previous style as close as possible. But there is a year in between the first 2 and this drawing. I feel like my style has become way more fluent, or something like it? What do you think?

Another story in 3 acts. Watercolour on cold press paper.
The other short story in 3 acts you can find here.

Another older illustration of mine from winter 2021. I think it was right after I bought another bunch of my Caran d´ache Luminance pencils and one of the first attempts to use them.
The illustration is watercolour, ink and coloured pencils on cold press paper.
A forest party of my favourite animal characters.

Another rough sketch. Same scene as before. Had this black paper for a while and finally got around to try it out.
Any comments and feedback welcome.
Would you like to see this style in a children´s book?

There was this art vs artist posts on Instagram and I am late to the party but this was the image I put together.
It has been a though year with many downs put I have certainly learned a lot illustration wise. I still feel like I have a long way to go until I get to where I want my illustrations to be, but hey, it’s a journey.
Curious to see how my style and skills will further develop throughout the year.
What are you looking forward to?
