I am on a reading mission to read at least one book a month. So far so good. Just finished Jean-Paul Sartre’s Nausea last night.
What are you reading right now?

After the mess of the first round of photos (here are part I and part II) you must be curious how the whole thing actually turned out.
Well,… what do you think?

I didn’t notice that the photo turned out a bit blurry when I took them because the sun was blinding. So the pictured are just as unfocused and random as the mural itself….

I think summer is over. It was lovely while it lasted. Raining cats and dogs today…

We maxed out the amazing hiking weather we had the last week, and now it is back to Iceland’s usually windy self….

It´s already Friday. Again! Time flies when you are having fun… Another sketch from last year that I just discovered again. I am so full of new ideas and so little time to put them into practice. But I will hopefully get there eventually.
Next weeks is the fun challenge of 1 week 100 people that I did last 2 years ago. I am determined to take it on this year as it is great drawing practice. So next week you will get to see some newer drawings.

This was my first attempt at a full scene in watercolour and ink, where I put the characters of the previous posts into action.
I am very happy how it turned out. Any comments and criticisms are welcome 🙂
Did you ever take your pet to school?

Welcome to day 15 of my Inktober story. Missed the beginning? Here is where it starts.
Grog and Sasha relax after eating all the muffins. After a while, they start taking a lazy look around. All the streets are dark and empty except for another dimly lit alley.
“Look at that fella! Where is he going?” Grog asks Sasha, pointing at an armadillo slowly walking down the alley. Curious, they get up and follow him with some distance.
When they get around the next corner, the armadillo has disappeared. At the end of the street they spot a basement entrance. “A magic show!” Grog yells. “Maybe that´s how I can get my wing back!”

Welcome to day 9 of my Inktober story. Missed the beginning? Here is where it starts.
After an unsuccessful search of the surrounding streets, Sasha gets bored. “Maybe your wing did not fall down but someone stole it?” she suggests.
“Or maybe it helps if we just change our point of view?” Sasha continues, thinking out loud.

Happy October 1st!
It’s the beginning of Inktober! I haven’t started with the Inktober sketch just yet but will get to it soon.
Meanwhile I tried to draw something a bit different, inspired by a Draw this in your style challenge on Instagram . I haven’t really been doing people illustrations for children’s books, but I think I am quite happy with my first attempt.
What do you think?

Another drawing from Greece, back in May.
One of the cats at the pole studio in Athens enjoys lying under people while they are doing the plank. What better motivation than to hold the plank just a little bit longer? Cat-cercise…? Is that a thing?

Lazy Saturday morning. Trying to get up to do some yoga… I found this drawing that I did back in May when I was still in Athens and enjoying the sun. I really miss Greece….
Inspiration was the two cats they have at the pole studio, where I went for aerial hoop training in Athens. Whenever you put the mat down on the ground to stretch, one of the cats would come and lie down on it and claim the space or sharpen its nails on the mat. It was actually a lot of fun to have them around as entertainment.
