Resting Day

Discovered this unfinished drawing I did a month ago in my sketchbook. I should finish it at some point but I also like it just in black and white as it is.

It also represents the mood of today. I would like to just stay home and be cozy.

Inktober Day 5 – Raven #2

Tried something completely different as well for the raven prompt. Although I don’t feel like drawing this character is really me. I really prefer drawing animals and I feel like I haven’t found my style yet when it comes to drawing people appropriate for children’s books. I will keep on practicing though.

I am still on track with my Inktober drawings, I just haven’t managed to take photos and upload them yet. They will follow shortly.

Who else is doing Inktober here?

Happy October 1st!

It’s the beginning of Inktober! I haven’t started with the Inktober sketch just yet but will get to it soon.

Meanwhile I tried to draw something a bit different, inspired by a Draw this in your style challenge on Instagram . I haven’t really been doing people illustrations for children’s books, but I think I am quite happy with my first attempt.

What do you think?

Changing Perspective Again

Another quick sketch inspired by Pinterest.

I am currently enrolled in a book cover design class. Looking at a topic and theme from different angles can often be eye opening, and also inspirational.

Morning Walk

The best thing about having a dog is, that you are forced to go out in any wind and weather. Sometimes it’s tough but almost always rewarding.

Hello there! What has this little one spotted?

Looking Good in Pink

Ready for work.

Lately pink has become my favourite colour. What is yours? My favourite dress is bright pink.

Also still studying people´s poses from different perspectives. Pinterest has become my new best friend as source of inspiration.

Ink All the Way

Still on the ink. Yep, loving it. But also missed some colour. So I ended up adding a bit of watercolour to this drawing. Below you can compare the before and after. Which one do you prefer?

This is also number 99 in the series of One Week 100 People I did at the beginning of April.

Book Release!

After several edits I am happy and proud to announce that my/our first children´s book is available to order!

With my friend Norbert, who wrote the story, we have been working on it for a while now and are happy to finally have the print version ready!

The story is about two best friends that find out how long a working week can be! A week at work can often feel very long and sometimes, not everyone is happy with it. In the end though, it pays to be patient.… and Kobbi, the little pug, is very patient.

Learn more about the book here or go straight to Amazon to order it.
