Love how these 4 turned out. I am using the opportunity to have fun with different styles and mediums. Used a mix of sienna ink, watercolour and coloured pencils for these.

It´s time again for this fun annual art challenge – One week 100 people. And it´s exactly that, you got one week to draw 100 people in any way you like.
I am using the opportunity to challenge myself to do some quick character sketches by using pinterest as inspiration. So far I´ve been having fun with it. Are you taking part in the challenge?

It´s already Friday. Again! Time flies when you are having fun… Another sketch from last year that I just discovered again. I am so full of new ideas and so little time to put them into practice. But I will hopefully get there eventually.
Next weeks is the fun challenge of 1 week 100 people that I did last 2 years ago. I am determined to take it on this year as it is great drawing practice. So next week you will get to see some newer drawings.

This was my first attempt at a full scene in watercolour and ink, where I put the characters of the previous posts into action.
I am very happy how it turned out. Any comments and criticisms are welcome 🙂
Did you ever take your pet to school?

Continuation of the drawings I did a couple of months ago. Some of them I forgot I actually drew, some of them where unfinished and I finally put the final touches on it. The whole idea was to practice more elaborate scenes with several characters and happenings.
Any feedback more than welcome!
I also think it is also about time to buy a new scanner instead of using my mediocre phone camera.

Still hibernating? Maybe. Time to start drawing again.
I guess this style is more me, rather than the last one.

Another rough sketch. Same scene as before. Had this black paper for a while and finally got around to try it out.
Any comments and feedback welcome.
Would you like to see this style in a children´s book?

I made a last one of these Art vs Artists collages. Also more for me as I enjoyed taking a look at my work from last year.
Below are my first proper attempts of watercolour illustrations. I still feel like I have a long way to go. But practice makes you maybe not perfect, but better bit by bit.
Happy weekend!

Had this idea for a drawing after reading the book The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro. Thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was the second book I read by Ishiguro, the first one was The Remains of the Days which was also excellent.
Also I finally tested my new watercolour paper. So consider this a practice piece.
