Perfect weather for it today finally!

Another year is slowly coming to an end. I feel like I haven´t done much illustration wise, but going through my files it actually looks like I got more done than I thought I did.
I tried lots of new things – media and styles – started on my own book projects (more about that soon) and I am looking forward to see where this journey will take me next year!
How about you? Did you try anything new this year?

Going to by a sled today for the little one. There is a decent amount of snow already and hopefully we will get more.
Meanwhile grab your free ebook of What´s the Weather here. Or get the print version of the picture book.
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful sunshine and everything is white. Good start for winter I would say.
We haven´t build a snowman yet, but it is definitely on the to do list.
Meanwhile you can get your free What’s the Weather ebook here! It will be available for free download until the 26th. Just happy to share. Of course the paper version is also available.
Have a great weekend!

The mood right after the holidays – after eating way too much and too much socializing, but it was totally worth it.
This sleepy capybara is also part of my latest Capybaras & Friends Colouring Book.

Continuation of introducing the Adventures of the Little Fly.
The tree of the little fly is illuminated by winter lights.

I very much enjoyed drawing this snow covered garden scene.
During the beginning of the long winter nights here in Iceland, many people cover their trees with winter lights. It makes the dark nights appear more bright.
We had the first snowflakes flying around here yesterday. Way too early if you ask me.

Continuation of introducing the Adventures of the Little Fly.
When the little fly woke up again and looked out of her hole in her tree, the garden looked weird. A white blanket was covering everything.
What had happened?
The mountains around Reykjavik are all covered in snow this morning. Winter has certainly arrived.

A continuation of introducing the latest children’s book I finished illustrating.
The little fly decided to fly back to her hole in the tree and sleep as she was super tired. There she slept and slept.
FYI the sleeping positions of the little fly have been inspired by my dog…
As the title says. This little pug is going nowhere with strong winds and below freezing temperatures out there.
I really love this little guy (although I am not a fan of pugs at all). I love dogs, the bigger the better! What about you?
But I drew him last winter for an upcoming project I have been working on with a friend. Stay tuned!

Seems I forgot to post day 12 of Inktober. I am also still missing the last 2 days of Inktober as last weekend did not leave any time for drawing. They will follow soonish.
I haven´t been tubing in a long time but it is so much fun! Therefore this Capybara ventured out of its natural habitat to give it a try.
Have you tried it?

Winter storms are still going strong here. I started to enjoy watching the snow hitting the window and got accustomed to cosy indoor life.
I am currently still working on a series of illustrations for a friend. But in the meantime I thought I put this little story of my own together.
On his stroll around the forest Mr. Fox was looking for a good spot to relief himself. Not paying attention of where, he just went about his business.

Before Mr Fox new what happened, he found himself in the big black mouth of the snowman who tried to swallow him whole.
But after the first surprise, Mr Fox started to put up a fight.

On it went. The struggle continued for a while, but eventually Mr Fox was able to free himself and ended up victorious.

The End.
We are currently having that terrible winter weather that I hate. It snows one day, only to be followed by heavy rain the day after…. So no chance to enjoy the snow or build a snowman. Therefore an ink version has to do for now.
Have you build a snowman this winter?
