So I thought after the capybara colouring book was so well received, that I would put some of my old and brand new Mr Fox drawings together in a colouring book.
I have been playing around with cover designs on Affinity publisher, but with way too many colour and font choices, picking one is difficult. So I narrowed it down to these 4. Which one is your favourite? Take part in the poll below.
I really like sketching these wild dogs. I am also experimenting with different outlines and pencils. So far I like the result. Only the paper quality was not the best. Will change that for the next drawing.
I knew nothing about wild dogs beforehand. Absolutely loved the story which is a description of a pack of wild dogs and in particular the story of Solo, one of the cubs.
I only learned that the story of Solo is somewhat famous after reading the book. I certainly had fun sketching this little dog.
After I felt like I was doing so well with my posting habits throughout October I fell into somewhat of a slump the last week. I have been focusing on drawing and several online are courses that I am taking at the moment instead.
I finished all of the Inktober prompts, however, I am not really happy how the last 3 turned out as I rushed them, so I haven’t posted them yet.
Here are all the other ones that I am quite happy with. I ended up with 33 drawings even with the last 3 missing as I did more than one drawing on some of the days.
I have been drawing a lot and because of that completely neglected all of my social media. I really need to find a balance.
I am currently in the process of creating a proper portfolio for children’s book illustrations, and I have been working on a few new drawings and techniques with watercolour, ink and pencils.
I am also in the process to finish my first own book, with the main character being the one and only, Mr Fox! More about that soon.
Meanwhile Mr Fox assists Mr Mouse to dig a hole in the forest… He hopes to find a hidden treasure somewhere.
I am also looking for first names for Mr Fox and Mr Mouse. Any suggestions are more than welcome!
Art supply shops are like candy shops. You go in to buy the one thing you want and walk out with a bag of goodies instead. I treated myself to a fountain pen and new nibs for drawing. Plus a ton of different papers and pencils.
I started work on two new books. One will be my own, with the main character being the one and only, little Mr Fox. The other one is still in the planing stage. But I am excited nevertheless.
Seems for a fun warm up sketch I have settled for another fun French Bulldog once again. Also good to practice my pencil drawing skills.
That expression came to mind when I looked out the window this morning. So naturally I felt like drawing a funny dog as the sketch of the day. Trying to get back into the habit of sketching daily.
I added a bit of colour to this honey badger. I am currently having fun learning Photoshop, designer programs and the like. Gotta earn that barbecue tonight by getting some work done.
