From sketch to inked page.

Hoot hoot! 🙂 Quite happy how this owl turned out.
For this page I thought I will try to put the whole image together digitally after drawing all the individual parts. I couldn’t make the page work with the first rendering, plus I had spilled some ink, so I decided to try it this way instead of starting with the full page all over again. One of the biggest challenges when drawing traditionally it the lack of the CTRL + Z shortcut….
Do I have fun drawing traditionally? Definitely. Would it be easier to do it all digitally? Most likely.
Do you prefer digital or traditional drawing?
Let’s see what will happen.

Another older illustration of mine from winter 2021. I think it was right after I bought another bunch of my Caran d´ache Luminance pencils and one of the first attempts to use them.
The illustration is watercolour, ink and coloured pencils on cold press paper.
A forest party of my favourite animal characters.

After I felt like I was doing so well with my posting habits throughout October I fell into somewhat of a slump the last week. I have been focusing on drawing and several online are courses that I am taking at the moment instead.
I finished all of the Inktober prompts, however, I am not really happy how the last 3 turned out as I rushed them, so I haven’t posted them yet.
Here are all the other ones that I am quite happy with. I ended up with 33 drawings even with the last 3 missing as I did more than one drawing on some of the days.
Do you have a favourite?

Inktober is here again!
I think ink is still my favourite medium to draw with. I haven’t picked any particular topic to draw this year but I will just follow the official Inktober prompt list and see what comes out of it. I think I will experiment creating different characters.
Let this owl look into her crystal ball to tell you what happens next.
